Al Badia

A Course for all seasons

Al Badia is a course which caters for all standards of player

The centre piece of the Four Seasons Golf Club Dubai Festival City, is the challenging test of the Robert Trent Jones II design Al Badia Golf Course. The original design of the course and the spectacular club house, modeled on the swirls of a golfers swing, make this a truly original Dubai treat.

The 7,303 yard course nestles close by the banks of the Creek whilst incorporating eleven lakes, several small water features and a host of indigenous shrubs and plant life. Water is a key feature to the personality of this environmentally sensitive course, changing in presentation as it transitions from open water bodies to waterfalls downstream. The variety in its design coupled with the wind and water hazards make this a true test of players shot making skills.

Robert Trent Jones II ‘Rivers of Sand’ concept adds another layer of texture and design. Unlike a water hazard, the visually crisp hazards give golfers the opportunity to recover from any errant or wind affected shots.  Multiple sets of tees have been incorporated onto each hole giving a variety of angles, changing the demands of each tee shot. The course can be played from the maximum 7,303 yards for championship and quality players, down to 5,398 yards for players with less skill or strength. Al Badia fairways are generous for the majority of golfers, but narrow for the longer hitters.

'The holes I think you will particularly find interesting and challenging when you play them are holes 5, a great par 5 running uphill and through a water course that sweeps through it and ends with a lake near the green, and number 18, you'll have to pick off a line you want and bite off as much as you can chew, the young limber backs among you will be able to reach both par 5's in two but beware, the wind can be very strong here so you will have to select a club that will contest with it, or if you are playing downwind you'll have to stop that long shot before it runs through the green and adds to your score.' Robert Trent Jones II

The club house encompasses a fully equipped golf shop, world-class golf academy showcasing the region’s only TaylorMade Performance Lab and TaylorMade MATT swing analysis and club fitting system, five food and beverage outlets ranging from Spikes all day dining overlooking the driving range, The Tee Lounge and elegant retreat located under the dramatic swirling roof, Quattro’s contemporary interpretation of traditional Italian cuisine, multicultural influenced dining at Blades to extensive meeting and catering areas, all enhanced by Four Seasons signature personal service. Four Seasons Golf Club, Dubai Festival City has become one of the ultimate golf and dining experience within Dubai.
