	One of the most luxurious golf resort experiences in the Middle East, The Montgomerie, Dubai is centred around a 7,308-yard layout designed by eight-time European Order of Merit winner Colin Montgomerie in association with Desmond Muirhead. The par-5 4th has been dubbed “the snake hole” for its saddleback fairway which doglegs towards the green, with two bunkers behind forming the eyes of the snake. But the par-5 18th offers a more classic test. At 656 yards and with water protecting the front of the green, it defies even the best player to hit the green in two. The Montgomerie, Dubai boasts a magnificent clubhouse that opened in January 2006, featuring 21 five-star hotel suites, while The Academy by Troon Golf is a state-of-the-art fully floodlit practice facility, featuring a 9-hole par-3 academy course, a 24-acre driving range, multiple short game areas and practice bunkers.
