A thing of beauty
The Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa in Dubai enjoys an idyllic setting surrounded by lush gardens and, although nine holes, the course is not just for the holiday golfer. |

The Jebel Ali course, now in its 10th year, has been played by superstars such as Tiger Woods, Ernie Els and Colin Montgomerie as, for the first eight years of its existence, it hosted the Challenge Match. This was a precursor charity event to the Dubai Desert Classic at the Emirates Golf Club.
Designed by Swiss course architect Peter Harradine, the layout was carved out of the original hotel gardens and the combination of exotic shrubs, naturally undulating terrain and a saltwater lake created a challenging round for golfers of all abilities.
One of the beguiling features is the freeroaming peacocks who often come to watch and display their magnificent plumage, quite unaware of the danger they may be in! The availability of four different tees brings the chance to play 18 holes with a variation to each nine. With the wind from the Arabian Gulf constantly changing direction throughout your round, course management skills are tested.
The Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa is an awardwinning five-star resort spread across 128 acres. Not only has this luxury resort won the World Travel Award as the Middle East’s Leading Golf Resort for the past seven years, but it is truly a destination in itself.
The resort features a choice of two hotels: the original 260-room Jebel Ali Hotel and the all-suite Palm Tree Court & Spa, a member of The Leading Hotels of the World. A pristine private beach, temperature-controlled swimming pools, golf academy, luxury spa, riding stables and a private marina offering deep-sea fishing trips complete the setting. |
